Crooked Fence Farm

Shawville, Québec

Shauna McKenna is a 6th generation farmer with a deep love of agriculture, especially sheep. While her family has a long farming history, she is the first to focus on wool and sheep, forging her own path after studying agriculture at the University of Guelph’s Kemptville Campus. Shauna has North Country Cheviot sheep, a breed we can recognize by their “rabbit ears” that stick straight up and their rounded snout, most noticeable when we look at them from the side. These sheep offer us a bouncy, strong wool that is perfect for projects that need to hold up to wear and tear and resist felting (think of the most perfect every-day winter socks ever).
